Playdough mini beasts (bugs)

The Fairy loves hunting for mini beasts (bugs). The other day when it was too rainy to go outside and hunt, she wanted to make some playdough mini beasts.

We took a rainbow full of dough

We rolled

and created some fabulous mini beasts (with the addition of some pipe cleaner decoration).

Amazingly pretty much as soon as we finished the mini beasts making, the sun came out. So we popped over to Grandmas garden for a bug hunt. Look what we found...

a caterpillar sunbathing on a sundial,

a worm on a leaf

a butterfly visiting a flower

a buzzy bee

a 'stripy worm'.

What's your favourite thing to make out of playdough? Do you like hunting for mini beasts (bugs)?

  1. These are wonderful! Your photos of the creations are awesome!

  2. Our favorite thing is driving our trucks/tractors and making tire tracks. Little Mr. doesn't like the texture to touch it .

  3. Aaah what a VERT sweet post. Adorable!

  4. very cute, Goblin likes making playdough worms with a garlic crusher

  5. Those are really cute. I love the photos. My kid just likes to stick googly eyes all over a blob of play dough with pipe cleaners all sticking out different directions.

  6. this is a very clever idea!!! I'll definately be using it this summer.

  7. These are so fun! My kids love making little guys out of play dough :)
